Hey, it’s Greg. 👋🏽
Friday mornings I'm up at 4:45am.
Working by 5.
Garage workout at 6:30. Nothing crazy, just a short one.
Kids start chirping around 7.
I try to work until 10, maybe 11.
Zoom call, follow-ups, clients, prospects.
Then I'm done.
The rest of Friday belongs to my son.
That's Monday through Thursday doing their job.
I block my week on purpose so Friday can look like that.
Work blocks.
Health blocks.
Kid blocks.
When my daughter's a little older I'll start alternating. One Friday him, one Friday her.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not perfect with this system. I can fall into a YouTube rabbit hole fast!
You don't get intentional by being disciplined.
You get there by practicing, missing, and having somebody notice when you miss.
Being intentional with your time is the highest-leverage thing you can do.
It shows up in your relationships.
It shows up in your income.
It shows up in your health.
Here's what I'd start with, though.
Not a new system. Not an app or calendar.
Subtraction.
Look at your week and find the thing that isn't serving you.
The social app.
The group chat.
The show you're watching too much of.
The commitment you said yes to in 2023 and have resented every month since.
Let it go.
Some of it used to serve you. Some of it never did.
Delete. Trash. Unsubscribe. Be done.
Less is always better. You can't fight time, but you can use it wisely.
Pick one this weekend. Just one. Then look at what fills the space.
In your corner,
Greg
P.S. I've been kicking around putting a small accountability group together. Nothing fancy. A plan, real check-ins, no fluff. If that's something you're interested in, let me know!
